As I was saying - it was the banker of the weekend. I'm buggered that I'm not in the UK at the moment as I would have had a very serious bet on it.Originally posted by Redspin View PostA Liverpool win must be the banker of the weekend. If I wasn't abroad I'd be straight down the bookies to pile in.
Can't see any logic in their being favourites but, to be fair, when I looked on Oddschecker a couple of days ago most of the money for the game was going on a Liverpool win.
I can't believe all the whingeing fannies on here who thought we might lose. Just looking at the basics, we are a very good team and Man Utd are a very, very average team, so a win was always very, very likely. A few weeks ago it was obvious that Southampton away was our hardest fixture and we won that comfortably enough.
Man Utd are by quite a distance inferior to Southampton so I can't believe the level of pessimism on here.
Today's game was a stroll in he park and we didn't even need to get out of second gear to win in a canter

Objectively we could not lose this game if we played anything like we can, but it's natural for a lot of football supporters, especially Reds who've taken so many knocks, to be worried or negative. I was ****ting it before and it was completely irrational but that's the way it is.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
