I find the moaning about the moaning in the match thread quite tedious, too.Originally posted by James P View PostMy irony-ometer has just broken.
And yes, of course I'm gonna moan if a couple of players hand over two goals to the opposition during a key match in a title race. Shocking.

I think Sterling down the left hand side would certainly stretch Cardiff. At the moment, Sturridge is wide right, Suarez central but dropping deep and Coutinho is drifting infield. Whilst we have had some success down the right with Henderson and Johnson overlapping, the same option isn't available on the left and we're quite obvious in our approach.
Cardiff are defending their 18 yard line very well and are breaking quickly, it's the Allen, Flanagan combination that is leaving us exposed. Add Sterling's defensive contribution and Lucas (mebbe) for Gerrard and we might look a bit more solid.
On the plus side, we're full of goals, so as long as we can tighten up at the back and bring the defence closer to the midfield, we'll be able to pick these apart, secure the three points and move on to our next massive-must-win game.Last edited by Muddled; 22-03-14, 05:04 PM.

Of course, most people can observe and understand this, and form nuanced opinions. But some quite vocal ones just can't seem to see things in any other colour than black and white. Glory or disaster.Originally posted by baitman View Postsome people can see past the obvious. there are good things to comment on, and also some areas where we are sloppy and the team need to tighten up. there is no reason not to point out the slack areas.
some posters digging at others for offering an opinion may be why others prefer to lurk
Oh I don't know.

There's offering an opinion and there's character assassination. I would have imagined that someone who had been forced to eat a large helping of humble pie after repeatedly berating Rodgers and calling him a charlatan might want to be a bit more circumspect in his criticism of certain players.Originally posted by baitman View Postsome people can see past the obvious. there are good things to comment on, and also some areas where we are sloppy and the team need to tighten up. there is no reason not to point out the slack areas.

nowt wrong with pointing out the poor stuff, just so long as credit is given when we deserve the pat on the back.
