I'm not sure that's an unreasonable prediction.Originally posted by rodo View Postaccording to lawro we would be 4th and 18 points behind chelsea what a clown hard to imagine he was actually a very good player for us
I would have been pretty happy with that, as I reckon most others would have too. We've Completely defied every expectation in the league this season.Oh I don't know.

Agreed, at the start of the season 4th place would have been seen as a success for us.

They were singing the luis garcia song. A few oldies got belted out yesterday.Originally posted by BigChief View Post
Wish I knew what they were singing with the Luis Garcia tune. Heard There's Only Daniel Sturridge for about 5-7 verses.
Saw the Suarez/Medel incident on both Sky and MOTD when Skrtel scored. Medel is a snidey ****. Went for Luis' achilles before the corner, then gave him a proper kick for which Luis smacked him around the head.
Allen made up for everything today by flattening Medel out near the end of the game.

General positioning down our left was terrible for the first twe goals too. Allen, Flanagan and Gerrard between them left men completely unmarked. Chelsea and City will murder us if we give them that much space.
I think we need to be keeping an eye on the keepers available in the summer too. Mignolet has done ok and is clearly an excellent shot stopper but he's pretty poor at coming off his line, taking crosses or generally being a commanding presence in the six yard box. I think that feeds through to the defenders in front of him too. They don't look sure if he'll come for something, or confident that he'll get it if he does.

Big call wanting to change the keeper if that's what your suggesting?but there is a problem with communication between the gk and defenceOriginally posted by Galb View Post

Who cares? We played some fantastic football and got great results when he was last out.Originally posted by Molby View Post...so how many games would Stevie miss if he picks up another yellow?
Is it just the one?
Times have changed. An injury to Gerrard is no longer a major loss. We will manage very well without him if he does eventually get suspended

At various times we have has Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Lucas, Agger out. And we have been flying without them. Those absences would have been crippling in previous seasons. To think we didn't even strengthen during the transfer window too.Originally posted by Redspin View PostWho cares? We played some fantastic football and got great results when he was last out.
