There will be a gigantonormous bus parked at Anfield Wednesday, so definitely Coutinho for this one. Question is if we should try to fit both him and Sterling in.

No need to go all out early doors. As we have no other decent attacking players in the squad, it serves the team to have one of Sterling or Coutinho on the bench. If we had other attacking players that were up to it (Konoplayanka) than I'd start the two of them.

I have one spare ticket for this match on Wednesday evening

I can meet outside the ground or in a local pub before the match.

Send me a PM before 12pm Tuesday if anyone wants it.

I'd start with both sterling and Coutinho and unlucky for Allen I'd drop him to the bench. I'd also be tempted to start sakho for Agger.

The Black Cats head to Anfield on Wednesday when they'll take on the Premier League's most potent attack - but Poyet doesn't rate the Reds particularly highly.

Player of the Year: Suarez treble at Cardiff moved him to 28 league goals
Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has hailed Liverpool striker and compatriot Luis Suarez - whilst declaring that the Reds would be mid-table without him.

The Black Cats boss takes his struggling side to Anfield on Wednesday evening where he will look to stop Suarez, who has 28 Premier League goals this season.

The Mackems are mired in relegation trouble following a 2-0 defeat at Norwich on Saturday, whilst Liverpool's attack looked irresistible once more as they struck six times against Cardiff.

However Poyet believes that Brendan Rodgers title-chasing side's hopes rest squarely on the shoulders of their talismanic No.7.

"I am not surprised, that's why they have got a chance. Without Suarez, they would probably be in mid-table," said Poyet on Tuesday.

"It's not about how they play, how they defend, how they pass the ball; It's about having a player who is going to be voted the best player of the year by everybody, if we are honest."

Suarez is expected to excel at this summer's World Cup for La Celeste, for whom Poyet once starred, and the ex-Chelsea and Tottenham midfielder admits that while he has known about Suarez for the best part of a decade, he never expected him to become one of the world's very best.

"I saw him once in a summer friendly game. He was just starting, I think he was 17 or 18," explained Poyet.

"He was a powerful striker playing on his own, but of course, not the player we are seeing today.

"To be honest, I wasn't even thinking he would be so good. He played a decent game, but now he is on another level.

"Now you can compare him with the top players in the world because he makes the difference somehow."

Thanks Gus, you have just done our teamtalk for us. I really hope we smash them now. I used like Poyet until now.

I can see how he has tried to 'big up' his fellow countryman; Poyet is obviously keen for him to feel ten-feet tall for the World Cup. The comment about being a mid-table team without him is just a touch naive and I doubt he really means it.

                  I still like Poyet

It would be weird if every other manager was falling over themselves to praise us, especially right before we play them

And in fairness, 28 goals is a lot. Where would we be without one of the top 3 players in the world?

I know he has lots of fans on here but I don't like the guy. As a pundit he has little to add of any insight. The only time he's been watchable was when he was told he was sacked on air.

Can only assume it's tongue in cheek. That or he's forgotten that we were without Luis for the first 7 games but still managed to scrape the odd win.

If we played any team out the top 4 and gave them Suarez for the match we'd still beat them if we were on our game. Suarez though is our X-Factor.

I would give my eye teeth to be there tomorrow night...still, I reckon I'll settle for my Newcastle ticket on the last day of the season !

especially after the Gooners slipping up tonight, we really need these three points tomorrow night..

Tbh, it's hard to see were city are going to slip up at...but we just need to keep chipping away, so we are there waiting to capitalise on any mistakes..

One last thing, I really hope the match thread stays classy tomorrow night, if things don't go our way at the start.

Saturdays Cardiff match thread was cringeworthy at times..
