He did indeed ... with Roy at the helm.

Carroll wanted to prove a point when he played for us against Newcastle; he tried too hard, took a blatant dive when it was easier to score and didn't offer much else. I think he'll do the same today - he will channel his energy incorrectly, causing a negative impact.
