Great bit of skill by Flanno there, trapping the ball between his legs as he fell to pull it towards him in anticipation of trying to get it in the box when on the ground.

          Go Big Andy

Hope we make it somehow. He apparently told the squad at the beginning of the season that we'd be Champions

Unlucky? Their only shot on target in the entire match was the goal, which obviously shouldn't have been given.

They're an alehouse team. Wimbledon Mk II

Fantastic win. We're just not giving this up are we. Love the determination and desire of the team (group), a game we'd have lost or drawn given the context pretty much every season since we last win the title. What's more due to our lack of cup games - we look fresh.

We can destroy teams who come out to play, but this shows we can battle. City and Chelsea will not be looking forward to playing us.

Too damn right, can't understand anyone even slightly questioning it. It's all very odd to me, clear pen, yes he got the ball but that doesn't mean you can then take a player down?! Anyway, three points by the skin of our teeth, good stuff to win today.

Can't believe how they played today compared to what I saw when United came. They were ****ing abysmal, I had to turn I over it was so shocking.

Thought West Ham played very well. Pressed high up first half and prevented us from controlling the game, which we ultimately did second half. We were fantastic second half. Played with a lot of patience. Passed it until West Ham went blue in the face really and got our rewards via a great pass from Lucas.

We're getting this title chaps. We're the best team out there at this point in time.
                        Are we winning?

That was stressful! Fair play to West Ham, they were never going to try to outplay us. They're a tough team - not good to watch, but we can't complain about teams playing to their strengths. On balance the result was fair, five more to go. I might start believing after the next game (lost count of how many times I've thought that).

Gerrard was superb today, his passing and control is sublime - it was like Alonso was back.

Nope, we'll leave that to their own fans.

Not just because of today, but is really is time that referees had to come out and explain some of their decisions. It's baffling that in such a high-profile high-stakes (money wise) "game" that a person who can have such a major influence on a result can have such little transparency.

But at that point it's clearly up for debate as there is no clear ruling. However, because he leaves his hands in and kinda half grabs hold of Flannos leg, it's a definite penalty. Daft, because as he does it, it's clearly half hearted because he knows it's foolish. Same as Tompkins, clear foul but it's more of an instinctive thing than intentional.

                                So, both penalties for me.

The Carroll foul was a joke. I have to say that watching that game, I didn't see us winning it. West Ham were superb in the first half, gambled by rushing at our attackers, but we couldn't cope. Excellent to win in those circumstances.

Penalty irrespective of whether he got to the ball first or not.
