I still get nightmares about that 0-0 at their place in Rafa's last year. That was bloody brutal to watch.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We were better of two teams on Boxing day when we played them. One of the best game we played, attacked relentlessly, Coutinho scored and Hart saved like 3 shots on goal that day. Also, Refree from Bolton Lee Mason and his assistant ref gifted them 2 points with calling wrong offside for Sterling and then not giving us clear penalty for Lescott’s shirt-pulling offence on Suarez.

Our 3 points is due and will be claimed on Sunday

Dzeko will start... he's in good form. Negredo has looked pretty average of late & Aguero will be nowhere near match fit. I fancy our chances against their CB's, Kompany gets so much praise but IMO i don't think he's been as good this season as some people have made out, he is a brilliant defender but not one of the top CB's this season for me. Lescott,DeMicheles & Clichy are ****e. To be fair Zabaleta is class.

Suppose it's all about keeping Silva & Toure quiet, hopefully they have an off day. Hard to know what City team will turn up, both teams are brilliant attacking, but are also prone to a defensive lapse.

We need to produce a performance ala vs Arsenal,Everton,Spurs get out of the blocks flying & be dogged and relentless. What a mammoth game this is.. so nervous about it but excited.

We need to score two past them to calm the nerves.

I reckon I'm going to be smashed for this one. 10:37pm kick off

Referee appointments for the weekend should be announced before 5pm. *gulp*

Vital we avoid Webb or Mason.

Can hardly believe I'm saying this but I'm hoping for Clattenburg.

Same here, him or Oliver would do. I think Dowd's got much, much better over the years aswell despite his arrogant ways but no chance as he did Spurs.

Don't think the diamond works as well at home but it's suited to playing against Man C.
Same team as West Ham except for Allen to replace Coutinho.

Also wouldn't be surprised if it's the same team as I've said above but in more of a 4-4-2 with Sterling and Henderson wider to track Man C full backs.

Either way the game will hinge on Kompany and Demichalis vs Suarez and Sturridge.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

This is what it comes down to. If we win this, I think we win the league.

The great thing is, whatever any of us think about how we should set up, you can almost guarantee Rodgers will get it right whatever he decides.

Atkinson or him I'd be ok with.

And if he doesn't, he won't Moyeswood on the sidelines like a talking gopher.
