I thought a straight swap of Aspas in for Sturridge if he's ruled out.

I'm surprised with ppl wanting to play players out of position or playing a defensive player like Lucas instead of another striker. Strange

Its not really defensive, 6 months ago you'd never have thought Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho would fit into an eleven.

Aspas has hardly played any football. In my opinion it would be strange to start him in the title run in.

Just play the best XI and fit them into a cohesive unit. That was at least part of the logic behind pushing Gerrard deeper and Coutinho into midfield. An Allen, Gerrard, Lucas midfield with Coutinho, Suarez, and Sterling up front has more than enough firepower. It's not as attacking as we've been, but Lucas in a midfield role will still probably add more to the attack than Moses or Aspas would as an attacker.

yep, that tighter midfield will allow the front three to rampage.

plus, this might be the way we have to go against the plastic flags so good to give it a game to settle in.

I'd play Aspas. I think he'd play quite well on the left of the front three and have Sterling on the right.

Then we can have a midfield of Coutinho and Allen with Gerrard behind.
