We were never going to do this the easy way. It just got a hell of a lot tougher, but it definitely isn't over.

For a start, beating Newcastle 10-0 wouldn't be completely impossible.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

I know we're still in it but it does feel like we've blown it.

We could be third by the time we kick off at Palace.

I'm trying to think back to the start of the season and how I would have fourth and Champions League football. Fast forward to today and it's gut-wrenching. Two games in hand doesn't mean six points, so there is a silver lining. Perhaps the twistvis goal difference and the swing we make with two games left.

Maybe there is a reason why a team doesn't go from seventh to first and the experience of this challenge will be important for next year's challenge.

        Downbeat.

I don't see how this is Rodgers' fault. Lucas had a mare. Coutinho had his worst game for us probably. Suarez was invisible. Gerrard was rattled. Sterling was ineffective. The players just couldn't create one proper exchange in the final third.

How many of us thought last August that we would still be scrapping for the title with two games to go?

Win our next two games and it means City will be under pressure to win all four of their remaining games. Hell if we go a bit goal crazy in our next two games we might even be able to wipe out the GD.

We are too close to give up on what has been a ****ing fantastic season to be a supporter of LFC.

Tough to be logical when emotions are running high though.

I'm gutted for him more than anything else. If we don't win this now, how does he even want to get up from bed in the morning.

Probably because breaking down Chelsea is, y'know. Hard.

They came in with a plan, we came in with a plan, they executed theirs marginally better. It happens.

Everton really need to bounce back in their next game after yesterday, Chelsea are ****e after European games and Liverpool have Crystal Palace and Newcastle who are on holiday already. Everyone knew Chelsea would be competitive whoever they put on the pitch and Mourinho knows how to defend and break. Its ****ing **** but it isn't over yet.

We've all forgotten what its like to lose a game, how amazing is that!??!?

If City win their games they will have at least +10 GD on us, I can't see us wiping that out with 2 games to go.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

About as sickening a feeling about a result I've had watching us.

Chelsea absolutely unbeatable in that mode. We just ran out of ideas completely.

Us winning the league now just seems a fairy tale that won't be happening. City will now win these two games and end our hopes.

Yep!! Sums it up for me. Every other game we had the football was free flowing and we clicked. It just didn't happen that way for us today.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

                              Marginally better?

                              They executed theirs to perfection.

                              We were neigh on clueless.

We have been fantastic but the summer transfer window will be absolutely crucial.
