        I am not sure that anyone did not try hard enough. Aspas was clearly out of his depth, physically and technically.

        Apart from the players on loan, I would look to offload Aspas and Lucas. One not good enough, and the other no longer good enough. Perhaps Toure as well, if we can get another centreback, who provides a bit of leadership.

        Our squad in general has been pretty good. Not sure anyone would need a public humiliation by having their name read out of an envelope though. Still want to know who was in last years... Or was he being all psychological and ****?

          I still think Lucas deserves another season.

          He has been woeful at times, but he's been a very faithful player and he should have more time to try and get back to his best.

          I don't think we need to be quite that cut throat.

            I think Lucas has been great for the club but he is never going to be good enough to bring us to the next level.

            Love Johnson but is there a reason why Chelsea sold him?

              He was young, inexperienced, and not getting games because they had other options.
              The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                Chelsea was a long, long time ago. Ok, so he hasn't been great this season, but he joined Liverpool in 2009, that's coming up to 5 full years - you can't write off how good Johnson has been because of form over a shorter period. On the whole, he's been a great signing for Liverpool.
