Full backs are always going to be vulnerable in the way we play. They push so high up the pitch. We've defended well on the whole. I'd say that we're improving defensively. Sakho's been excellent.

He's done ok, had had a few hairy moments in that first half. Our full backs are just not that good unfortunately no matter what system.

But we're good value for our lead. It was defo a pen as well, even though Sterling kicked the ball onto the studs of Jones. The other one was a stonewaller as well.

Agree, especially that early one he got there in the nick of time to stop them scoring. I think he will get even better playing alongside Lovren but it may be Skrtel and Lovren for a while. Have this feeling Brendan prefers Skrtel at the moment.

This team, plus Van Persie instead of Pea is basically their starting eleven, if they don't bring in anyone new. We've still got Sturridge, Lovren, Can, Markovic, Flanagan and potential new full backs to bring on. If we could only add one more really good striker...

He's been well below par for the past 2 seasons. Needs to find his form when first arrived.. Doubt he can though.
