Watched the match last night and was thinking is my memory playing tricks on me,has soldier field been redevloped i thought it used to be just a big bowl simiker to the collisium in L.A?

Still found the same issues in our defence. Silly mistakes out of poor decision making mostly.

Glen Johnson has no future at LFC, or at least he shouldn't have, same old wishy washy crap from him last night.

It was a pre-season game.

I've said before that I think he'd benefit from a real fight for his place. That hasn't happened for him in a long time, if at all. I think he might up his game if someone was to take his place in the team. If not then sell.

It was a friendly! I remember Pepe Reina playing outfield in one a few years back, they really aren't to be taken seriously.

There were plenty of positives from last night. Our new signings don't look utter ****. We showed that there's loads of pace in the side and we'll be a real threat on the counter again this season. And most importantly no-one got injured.

I only saw the first half but I thought it was a decent run out. We looked fine.

The biggest positive was seeing the pace in the side. Sturridge, Sterling, Markovic, Can and Henderson are all rapid on the counter attack. Once they all gel we will be a frightening prospect.

Also frightening is that a 19 is already by far the stand out player in our squad. I think you can guess who.

First pre season game for a lot of the players. Game won, good workout, glimpses of what we can expect from the new lads. Job done.
