It is a tough one as regards Stevie & it's hard to criticise the man as he's such a legend.
Doesn't feel right or good criticising him
      Another MASSIVE game

I turned this on last night just as City scored their second, we were defo the better team after that, Hart was the busier of the 2 keepers.

What I liked about Sakho was his passing. On a number of occasions we were passing it among ourselves at the back, back to the keeper, etc. When Sakho got it he passed it forward and not just a couple of feet, long enough to put us on the front foot. He found his man most of the time as well.

Also, what did we do to Curbishley, seemed there was only one team playing last night and it wasn't us?

Yep, his passing is amazing. Forward most of the time and if the other team is pressing he always takes out the first line of their press. He's great.

Spot on about Sakho, he wasn't afraid to bring it out a bit before passing as well. Very positive player. In the first half only a couple of our players looked like they fancied actually beating a man instead of constantly laying it off.

Maybe we have too many players and of those we have I'd say Lucas and Allen are the most vulnerable but we'll be playing more games now and I hope we are not actively trying to offload them. If we get offers for them though, I'd wager they'd be considered, specially for Lucas.

On a side note, I can't make up mind what would be a first choice midfield for us.
Depends on the opposition So good to finally have some squad depth.

Crowd was at least 25 to 1 in favor of LFC. Yankee Stadium is also the new home of Man City's new MLS club NYC FC. Looks like they could have chosen a better parent club in terms of the fan base.... *cough*

Which was my biggest concern when we signed him.

That said, he is not brought in to be a starter and he only has been part of the team for few weeks.

Lambert will be much better when games are a bit more condensed. He looked so out of place, desperately trying to cover ground & break up and back. The position he was asked to play was completely opposite to his game. When we need a goal against a big awkward sides Lambert is a good option to to bring on.

Yes, he's not a complete slouch and he's clever on the deck. I think he's a good addition.

So unfair on Allen yet again. He's done a decent job last season and he'll do a decent one again this. Don't fix what's not broke.
