Their pre season form will be enough to put the ****s up most of the smaller teams they'll face in the league. Hoped we'd win but had a feeling we wouldn't. Often when we have the chance to put a spanner in their works we don't do it. Would have been nice to kill their momentum.Comment

No big deal i suppose, would have been nice to atleast draw though.
Looking at our side, one thing we now miss, is a top in their prime well known player who instills fear into opponents and confidence into team mates.

I only watched the first 30 minutes, we did really miss Sturridge. Definitely need someone as a decent back-up option. Lambert is a good player who I think will link up well with Sturridge and whoever our second striking option might be, but I wouldn't want us to rely on him to be the main focus of our attacking play too often.Comment

Yep, Sturridge is a big miss. He was prolific for us last season.
21 league goals in any other season for us would have been considered our main attacking threat. But because of Suarez getting even more it was slightly overshadowed.*Except Michael, who died.Comment

Sturride gets injured a lot so we must sign a forward to challenge him for his place. Lambert isn't that man.Comment

Yep, I agree that we need someone to push Sturridge. Lambert is an option off the bench and during lower importance cup games.

Is it concerning though? We have already got in about 5 players, and whilst we have been away we could hardly get working on new targets. Id guess Rodgers is heavily involved, and meets with the players.
My guess is we will see more movement now. After all, we still have 4 weeks of the window left.*Except Michael, who died.Comment
