    Life without Gerrard

Will we be relegated, do a Leeds, Sheff Wednesday etc or will we kick on seamlessly.

    Henderson
    Can
    Allen
    Lallana (???)
    Couthino
    Lucas

Is this enough or will we need a Pirlo, Bobby Moore or some other kingpin to replace the skipper.

    Any thoughts?

Gerrard's got another 3 seasons I think, by which time Henderson will be a world beater

Gerrard can play until he's 40. Then do a Giggsy.
      Are we winning?

Isn't Can the new Gerrard given Gerrard's new position?

The answer to the question of Can Allen is no.

It will be impossible to replace the gap that Gerrards retirement will leave but i think he still has at least another 2 years in him.

Emre Can is the closest in style to a younger Gerrard of the midfielders mentioned in that list.

In two years, Henderson and Allen will be around 25/26, Can and Coutinho 22/23 but with at least 4 years playing experience at the top level.

If those four fufill their potentials we will be frighteningly good. You look at all of them and they all debuted as teenagers for their first teams, Sterling and Sturridge too. They have more experience than most of their counterparts at a similar age.

I doubt Allen will ever be more than a squad player TBH.

I have defended the dude in the past and will continue to do so, he is an excellent squad player, but I don't think he'll ever be more.

There will always be someone else to take over. We have always had the knack of replacing big players without to much bother. Keegan, Rush, Dalglish, Barnes, Fowler, Torres to name a few.

Maybe not, tbh i think its unlikely all four will go on to realise their maximum potential, inevitably in football some never quite get there but i think that the difference in styles complement each other in Gerrards absence both in the present and future.

Allen and Henderson stepped up when Gerrard was injured this year iirc.
