I think Allen and Henderson already have. Dunno enough about Can to comment. Coutinho will be monster when he gets his consistency up.

If it' sone thing Couthino will never it's a monster. He'll be more like a fairy, sprinkling his passes with magic dust.

In two years, Henderson and Allen will be around 25/26, Can and Coutinho 22/23 but with at least 4 years playing experience at the top level.

If those four fufill their potentials we will be frighteningly good. You look at all of them and they all debuted as teenagers for their first teams, Sterling and Sturridge too. They have more experience than most of their counterparts at a similar age.

You can't replace him, you can only adapt as best you can without him.

Not yet, but after weeks with Woy he'll be close to.

I think we should start a 'Life without Suarez' thread instead, as Gerrard is staying for at least two years.

I don't think we will replace him with a single player as the guy is a legend. But I think we can break down what he brings replace him in terms of getting other people to offer what he brings to the team.

In a positional sense his role is more disciplined and well described than it once was in ca 2004 where he was single handedly carrying the team that Gerrard would have been almost impossible to replace. I think we could get someone to play that role.

Set pieces - for once we have suddenly got to the stage where we are a side that is dangerous from set-pieces and that is largely down to Gerrard's delivery, I think this will be quite difficult to replace because you don't buy players just because they are a set-piece specialist, unless it is something that you can coach it's a kind of hit an miss situation (you buy a player because of that they offer from open play and hope they are either good at set pieces or they can be coached to be).

Leadership and passion for the club this is something that will be irreplaceable, Gerrard has been at the club since he was a kid, he grew up in the city as a fan and he and his family have been linked to the club for most/all of his life. Add to that the fact that he has been club captain for 10 years. We will have kids coming through with a passion for the club but it's unlikely that they will have his talent and will be regulars in the side for 10 years never mind captain the side for that long.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We will adapt and we'll be fine, I think Rodgers is fully aware of this and is trying to be one step ahead. Henderson is getting untouchable for the team and maybe Rodgers is hoping Can will develop into a top midfielder to take Gerrards place in the side. Coutinho is an excellent cog in the wheel and we'll probably get in another midfielder this summer or next.

As good as Gerrard has been this season, we can put together a midfield that works equally good without him, despite none of the players being as good as him.

We were great in december when he was out for a couple of games.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
