Hope is here!! David Fairclough has damned Everton with the Keegan Curse. "There is only one team who is going to go on and win this".

Actually, from what I've seen Teixeira has been ****e in the second half.

Well, that was a poor performance in the second half. It's the only one I saw and I'm presuming from the scoreline we were ok in the first half. Tired, lacklustre and distracted is how I'd describe it. Maybe Beale told them to play like the first team once we came in 3-1 up. Plus Everton should have had a peno at the end that wasn't given.

            FT 3-3

Great first half terrible second. Beale can take the blame for that, failing to freshen up the attack and not changing the shape either as Everton went 3 at the back with more width. Rossiter poor second half, likewise Teix who was visibly tiring.

I think we really missed Ilori after the break. His experience would have helped a lot.

Probably, but he'll only be using this to get himself up to scratch. The nippers will have learned something from this abject failure to hold on to a win, and so they should. This is their crucible of exultation and shame and they need to taste both cups to know the difference

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Wilson looked like he had no pace but the Torres comparison is a good one. On Everton's side Holgate grew into the game and does look a good player. His positioning, reading of danger and strength served Everton well despite the number of chances we created.

Beale should have brought Kent on for Canos or Dunn. Bad decision making from the bench. No way Everton would have survived with him and Wilson. As it happens it was a game in which Beale handed Everton a point.

IIRC they did this quite often towards the end of last season, capitulated in teh 2nd half. One of the teams definitely threw away 3 goal lead in one of the matches.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I see Beale is talking about Illori and Texeira going on loan again.

Is it just me being paranoid, but does Rodgers seem to massively prefer to give genuine first team minutes for young British players/players from English leagues?

I don't think its that. I think Texiera and Illori just aren't showing that little bit extra that shouts put me in the first team/squad. And if they're not showing that then sitting in the reserves won't help, better out on loan to improve.

I was wandering about the lack of strikers and sure enough Jerome Sinclair is injured again. Yesil is off to Turkey on loan I think.

Only watched the 1st half. I liked what I saw. Didn't want to see the capitulation
