I'm assuming one of the youth teams are playing somewhere too, as there are a few omissions, but then why Rossiter?Originally posted by meffin View PostWhat about that Welsh kid- is he not in the squad? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Liverpool FC have announced a 23-man squad to play Danish side Brondby in tonight's friendly.
Daniel Agger will return to play against the side he signed from in January 2005 and other first-team fixtures Martin Skrtel, Lucas Leiva, Philippe Coutinho, Joe Allen and Jon Flanagan will play some part in the game.
However none of Liverpool's four new major signings will play any part in the game.
There will also be returns for former loanees Fabio Borini, Conor Coady, Jordon Ibe, Tiago Ilori, Suso and Andre Wisdom as well as a first-team debut for young winger Adam Phillips, who has represented England at youth level.
Brendan Rodgers also named 20-year-old Kevin Stewart, signed from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer, in tonight's squad.

Well the formation is slightly different I suppose.

Can't say I noticed him last year.Adam Phillips
A prolific scorer at U15 and U16 level, Phillips has been making huge strides in the Academy this season and has earned huge number of plaudits. His performances didn’t go unnoticed either as Phillips made his U18 debut this year, coming on as a substitute against Sunderland back in February. Before making another cameo performance in a 4-1 loss at home to Stoke in March. Still only 15 years of age, the player is tipped for big things at Anfield and we’ll be looking to feature regularly for the U18s come next season. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Most back up players aren't if they are replacing the no.1 long term. We have to assume Sturridge won't get any bad injuries.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostRickie is okay, but if Sturridge injury was long term he'd not be good enough.
We need another forward.
Also think we'll still be replacing Suarez, so hopefully that player partnered with Lambert will be good enough to cover any injures. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
