Yep, although he scored early v Sporting the general consenus on their forums was they didnt see the best of him till around midway through the season, though they also say he's best as a number 10 so he might have to adapt to other positions. Henderson had a thread slagging him off with "what does he do" "cant see him being a regular" after 1 league game Sterling got "I dont know if he'll even make it in the Premier League" last season from the same person and plenty of others who were also on his case are currently slagging of this lad. Some just dont learn.

Youtube has shown him to be capable of quick breaks forward on the counter, well spotted balls through to strikers, beating a defender for speed, and a few well taken finishes- in the whole or down either flank (albeit predominantly right footed)
He's clearly not the finished article, and makes mistakes. And that's his highlights.

He's young, he's lacking in confidence, and I'd imagine feeling a lot more pressured playing for Liverpool. Time will tell how he develops, but the promise is there.
In contrast, Suso in his cameo appearance looked a muchmore composed rounded player - but he has the likes of Sterling, Coutinho and Lallana occupying his chosen position.

Liverpool's Lazar Markovic pleads for more time to prove himself

NEW Liverpool signing Lazar Markovic has pleaded with fans to give him more time after failing to impress since joining from Benfica.

The Serbian winger linked up with Brendan Rodgers for £20million over the summer, but has yet to make his mark in the physical Premier League.

Markovic has struggled to break into the side, with Rodgers switching between a 4-4-2 diamond and a 4-2-3-1 formation, but the 20-year-old is adamant that he will prove his worth once he settles down in his new surroundings.
