i would consider bringing Manquillo off but perhaps more important to get Allen or Can in for Lucas first.

I think the Lucas, Allen, Henderson midfield looked brilliant when gerrard was injured last season. I think brendan rodgers always wanted to play a 433 with 2 wide forwards but couldnt because Suarez and Sturridge we so ****in awesome together....will be interesting to see how we now line up going forward because i wouldnt be surprised to see us playing deeper midfielders and look to control posession a lot more....

First half reminded me of having Riise back, 5-10 yards of space in front of him inside the opposition half = Pot-shot.

Rodgers has opted for solidity rather than free flowing attacking. Sensible for a first game. Remember last year? We were playing in a similar fashion for the first 10 games. It's all calculated to get the best out of us near the end of the season.
