We've had an absolute shocker all things considered. Even our winning/defensive run in the latter half was somewhat skin-deep, at least in comparison to the force we were last season.

Oh what a player Lovren is going to be.

Nope it doesn't. Partly cos we are getting old & time moves faster, the *******ly turd.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

You could also argue it’s an indication of what could have been had we kept Sturridge fit and Raheem motivated, ie. the ability to win games without playing well, thanks to quality attackers.

At the end of the day, we’re possibly only 4 points off 4th, so what a difference just one or two more late winners from Sturridge would have made.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Also imagine we had been good at set pieces this year

A lot of factors got us points last year, and going into this season I thoroughly expected to score less goals but hoped that we would concede fewer also

That has probably happened to a certain degree but the drop off in goals scored must have been quite substantial

It papered over the cracks big time for me

I said it before & was accused of being overly negative but we had a few lucky draws & wins during that period that made things look better than what they were

We have been terrible this season - but are still 5th so hopefully we can clear out the deadwood & sign the players we need. Combined with the players we have signed this year improving we can hopefully push on next year & challenge for 4th
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Man Utd were largely dross this season but they have better attackers so they are where they are. There's nothing to suggest they'll continue their good form into next season.

I can't wait to see how City get on without Milner, Kompany and Yaya Toure.
