If people don't already know the kick off time by now then that's their problem

Disappointed to see Glen Johnson in the team, much rather have seen Manquillo on the right. Would have been tempted to have put Can in the middle instead of Allen just because of his size and physical presence

If you replace Toure/Lambert with Lallana/Balotelli...plus we get a decent back up keeper in. That is a really decent matchday 18 man squad

Feel quite sorry for Lambert, reckon he wasn't expecting to be so far down the pecking order so soon

Well done Reece, plenty of colour and visually stimulating.

                A definite improvement.

I agree that the physical aspect of this game will be massively important. I posted in the other thread that I think that it is important that Toure and Fernando don't swarm round and overpower Coutinho. He can't get isolated like he was at times against Southampton or he is ineffectual. We need a link between Gerrard and Phil - hopefully Henderson and Allen can provide this, but personally I'd be more comfortable with Henderson and Can.

I expected it, I couldn't see us going with two new full backs, for me it was a question of whether it was Johnson and Moreno or Johnson and Manquillo who started.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Was always gonna play, so we shouldn't have to spend half the thread reading about how **** he is. Well, at least wait until he does something wrong.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

TBF he has not shown too much to in pre season to give Brendan a selection headache. Always was going to be an impact player off the bench.

Yep. I'm not sure he was expecting an awful lot more than that either tbh. Impact sub appearances and starts when injuries or weak opposition allow.
