Yeah Gerrard seems well off the boil. Can't see him being replaced though.

Henderson had one of the best halves I've seen from him IMO.. Absolutely everywhere. Sterling and sturridge playing good too. Fullbacks dome very well. We've been the better side but the CB's have been very lucky to not to concede... Look all at sea. Gerrards passing has been dire and looks slow on the ball.

Balotelli done well, should have scored though.. Looks bit rusty & maybe a bit anxious.

Excellent goal and we've had some other promising attacks. Naturally Lovren and Sakho look like they have never played together and Gerrard has had a shocking half, bar one excellent free kick.

Mario could have had 2, has scored none. However, he has been doing great defensive coverage so no worries.

Sakho still looks iffy. Not surprised if Rodgers doesn't rate him.

Gerrard has been poor.

Although Spurs have pressed pretty well, its our own **** ups that are causing problems for us yet again really.

Great save from Mignolet to keep us in the lead.

Lovren, I like him but he's been guilty of every negative comment that's been thrown at Skrtel in this 45 minutes alone.

Balotelli has worked hard, unlucky with the first header, should have scored with the 2nd but I think he looks like he's lacking a bit of sharpness and weirdly confidence?

The CB's playing like they've just met. We really are cursed back there.

That's definitely part of it, but I think Lovren in particular has been sloppy, but has still recovered well on occasion. Every decent chance they've had has been direct from a ****up though. Been fortunate on at least two occasions.

Pros - sterling is having a great game, as is Henderson; Balo looks determined to score
Cons - Gerrard's passing has been woeful; Sakho and Lovren... Lovren doesn't seem to know where he should be; Manq on a card.

Overall we've soaked up some high pressure from Spurs though as well as created plenty ourselves. So far so good.

I'm not surprised our defenders are tipping over each other a little bit, it's another new pairing, think Lovren has the ability to be really good though

Gerrard has struggled a wee bit with his passing today.

Really pleased with Balotellis performance so far, finishing hasn't quite been there but I think he's worked harder than I have ever seen him work in a live football match, getting in some good positions too, I'm impressed.

Very pleased with Balotelli. His touch has been shocking, but his talents never been in doubt, it will come.

However his attitude has been excellent, tracking back, fitting his positioning to the system both ends of the pitch, working hard.
