So when would Allen play? He was excellent today, for me he is a definite for our next game.

Allen was superp. He's fulfilling his potential. The welsh Xavi.

I wouldnt have him as a starter

He contributes next to nothing going forward and I dont think hes that great at pressing / defensive side either

Can to me looks much stronger, much more capable going forward and offers better balance

        Just my preference

Who drops off the bench when Lallana is back by the way?

            Coutinho, Can, Markovic or Lambert?

Clear gulf between the teams. Great result. Tiny tots back in their box

**** knows, it feels proper weird that we have good players that wont even make the matchday 18 now! Last season there were games we couldnt even make a sub as we had nothing there.

With the exclusion of Gerrard we could have this 11 in 5 years time. With the amount of development and chemistry that could take place we have a potentially brilliant squad. We definitely have the basis for it already. Hopefully we continue to click.

Obviously some things to work out and we'll have harder games but I think we'll be okay this season

Great performance today, not much more to say than that. Were sound defensively for almost the entire match, and very dangerous going forward and especially on the breaks!

And a good debut by Balotelli, impressed with his work rate and held up the ball well.

I'd like to see Lovren and Sakho given a run together. It looked like it was. A new partnership with Sakho a bit rusty. But you do get the feeling that this back four could be a proper unit over time.

                          Moreno though

re allen, though. the pull back is ok, but it was his poor play that conceded possession so he felt he had to take the player out.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Can't you go back to Wooly Woofter Nigel? This whole hard man/ devil's advocate thing doesn't suit you at all.
