As much as Hendo is a machine and engine and all over the place with his energy, i think someone who has the same grit and determination but also a calmer influence and poise should get it... for me that would have to be Lovren (yeah so maybe it's only been two games, but i can see why in the long run BR rates him as a leader) or Skertl

What's the point of a vice captain?

Not much. I guess with Gerrard nearing retirement it becomes more relevant though. This vice captain could turn out to be the future club captain.

I'd give it to Henderson, although I will throw in Lovren as a wild card given his supposed leadership qualities.

Johnson must be the second most experienced member of the squad I guess. Although if they gave it to him it might make a few heads on here explode.

Henderson is the obvious choice. There's a few others who could be captain material in a few seasons but are too new to the club to be given it just yet - Sahko, Lovren, Lallana.

Football nowadays is a squad game. With that in mind I think we should only have a captain. If he doesnt play then someone is nominated to replace him on a game by game basis

Sakho seems to have the potential. He has already captained at top level, the big thing is if he's going to play enough.

Another vote for Henderson. He's gunna be around for a long time, a stable choice to learn from and take over from Gerrard.

If one of the nubs gets settled and looks a better choice can always leave him as vice and step them up.
