I think Rodgers should play Sterling up front and keep the diamond when Sturridge is out. We need a stronger presence up front and the 4-3-3 seems to take some edge out of our game.

The keeper, both CBs, Gerrard, Lallana, Coutinho, all really poor, but the shape in the first 65mins just doesn't work. Balotelli is too static which also inhibits our ability to pick a through ball.

Lallana, coutinho, sterling and Lallana should all be playing in the centre to get the most out of them, but obviously can't. I think Coutinho needs dropping personally.

And we need to stop this idea of being a side trying to get crosses to a static striker.

Balotelli isn't static, he just doesn't have the clever movement that Suarez has.

Manquillo was outstanding... a constant outlet. Moreno good game too. Great to see Mario get off the mark. Mignolet is a disaster & Lovren i think has been directly at fault for 4 or 5 goals already this season. Sakho/Lovren partnership is more risky than going bareback with a Thai prostitute. Gerrard is past his best but he sure does know how to take a peno.

So so lucky but we needed those 3 points desperately so thank god!!!
