Ludo post match thingy

We were lucky to get the 3 points, a very poor performance overall. Currently lacking a lot of understanding between the players, and our fast breaks are really just breaks right now.

Our pressing works decently, and we controlled the match for most of the time, but we hardly created a chance.

We are slowly getting better in many small aspects, and there are many players that needs integrating this year.

That feck for that. Now we need to kick on. The diamond is the way forward and Sterling at the point behind Balo and eventually Sturridge too is going to provide wins. The two new full backs look the nuts. I'm not surprised there's a few defensive mistakes in there, that's a brand new back four, only Sakho had games in our shirt before the start of the season. They have to learn and unfortunately when expectation is high, pressure comes along with it. Smash Fat Sam's mob on Sat and all good.

We will improve but we need one or Coutinho, Lallana or Sterling to spark and to bring that element of unpredictability to our game which has been missing since Luis has gone. None of them are doing enough at the moment.

Our defending has actually got worse than last season. Really concerning and I actually missed Skrtel today. Reckon I may have called Lovren wrong, but Moreno is some player.

I think Lallana will come very good when he's settled down a bit. Sturridge is a massive massive miss. If we brought Remy in we'd probably look a lot better(Although we probably wouldn't have got Mario so captain hindsight and all that)

The Diamond is the way forward though for me.

well they do have a lot of quality going forward, we haven't faced anything similar in a long time but we do tend to do better when it's not on us to create play...how our defence and midfield deal with their threats is another matter

The goal we conceded was a genuine **** up all around. Sterling definitely wasn't blameless and we shouldn't have had so many players running off of him into space at the last few minutes of an important match like this.

Would like to see Borini start with Balotelli on the weekend. Provides us with what we need up top. I know most people hate him for no apparent reason, but it'd be for the team and the shape overall it'd be a good option IMO whilst Sturridge is unavailable.
