We looked better but in truth Everton were very poor and we should have scored more. Every team we play against will have hope they can score against us. Mignolet constantly dithers and we can't hope to build a settled defensive unit with him between the sticks. I don't blame him for not saving that one mind, just a general observation.
I don't have a problem defending the way we did towards the end. We tried to be compact and limit the space so Everton had to play in front of us. Everton still wouldn't have scored yet if they hadn't scored a worldie.
Except we had no outlet up front at all as Balo was dropping way too deep.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
Looked like a more cohesive team today in both attack and defence, overall quite good general play but just not clicking in the final third. That's always the last thing to come.
Unlucky to be robbed of a couple more points by a one in a million shot.
I agree with this. How did Ballotelli miss that chance?
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

We lack a bit in the final third but signs are that Balottelli is coming to grips slowly.
