It's a positive that we're not discussing Lovren, although Everton didn't threaten at all, they were woeful in attack. Hopefully this gives defenders some confidence.

Biggest disappointment on the Everton goal was that nobody got near it for a block. He had a free hit on goal under no pressure, which cost us what would have been a deserved win.
      Modifying post.

First of all, you have changed things to reaching wide instead of reaching high which is what you actually said to start. Secondly, what happens when you are standing is different to when you are diving. It really is!

Which hand is closer to the top of the goal? Top hand or bottom hand?

was that goalie one of the agents in the matrix. im sure ive seen that sort of wizardry before.

I agree. We will get better and we will massively benefit from having Sturridge, Allen and Can back but as I said I don't think anger and frustration are irrational emotions to feel if you've won 2 games out of 6.

I thought everton were pitiful......we were better than them no doubt but still didnt create enough to force the game.....balotellis chance was the only clear cut chance. Rodgers will go on about the barry handball but they could.have been awarded a penalty before that as well...

I think our season will depend heavily on sturridge and balotelli forming a good partnership....

Lovren looked very very good today....

I hope all the players are hurting today because we have a set of fixtures coming up where we should make hay...

Borini would be the answer to that question for me. Until January at the very least.

Anytime Sturridge was out I would have Borini and Balotelli as the front two, with Sterling at the tip of the diamond behind them.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He worked hard......but didnt exactly win us the game did he??? The way you ask the question you'd swear he created 2 goals and scored one himself too.

I dont think he is a bad player.....just not worth 25m

Not a great performance yet again, but some improvements (Lallana).

Yes its early days, but we can't keep saying that and ignoring the problems that are obvious to everyone. 6 games in and we're already 9 points off the top and as it stands we're behind Utd who have been truly ****ing awful so far. We raided Southampton, they've got lots of new faces and the ****ers have nearly twice as many points with a new manager.

We need to get our **** together and fast. I know a lot of these guys are new transfers but the problem for me is we bought at "ready made" prices so expectancy is obviously higher. I had hoped they'd hit the ground running but alas no.

We really cannot afford to allow this spell to continue for much longer.

I thought that we were the better side and deserved to win. To my mind we were unlucky and only denied the win by a freak goal. As good a goal as it was 99 times out of 100 Jagielka's shot ends up in the stand. That happens in football and it's something we have to deal with.

I think the frustration mostly comes from the fact that we have had a poor start to the season, and is making people over react. Had we won all our games before today and that had happened we would have just put it down as one of those things. The fact that we have had such a poor start to the season makes everyone look for scape goats and point fingers.

For me today was one of our better performances of the season, there were signs of improvement defensively which is encouraging and I just thought we were unlucky with the result. Yes there are issues in the side that we need to address but we at least seem to be moving in the right direction.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Our best player in the derby I think. Let's hope Sam Allardyce isn't in for him in a few years time like you predicted

Hmmm...people do keep saying we need a Neo goalkeeper.

I dont think we actually played that well. We were better defensively but its hard to gauge because everton were awful...

Lallana wasnt ****e like he has been all season.....would still take coutinho over him though.... you reckon lallana would get into city, arsenal or chelseas team???
