Sterling, Markovic and Coutinho were dreadful. Absolutely terrible.

Last few games we have showed little positives other than Lallana & Moreno

Hats off to Gerrard very honest there to say they have been poor most of the season, hes bang on imo

I don't see the rational for starting 3 similar players in coutinho, sterling and markovic. Its great when you have the ball but as soon as you lose possession those 3 aren't what you need to get it back.

Playing 2 away from home is fine but not 3.

We didn't play well enough today.

It's bloody annoying we are willing to carry a veteran who's doing this **** all the time. If we're gonna allow someone at CB to **** up all the time it should have been Ilori, Wisdom or Coates and ya know they might actually learn from it!

Positives then?

1. Basle hardly troubled us, two good saves by Mignolet aside (which he should be making).
2. Markovic looked 10% better. Still a pussy but getting better.
3. We played the game with 9 men (Gerrard and Balotelli MIA) yet still had enough to draw the game (thanks Raheem)
4. Some of the interplay between Coutinho, Marko and Enrique was from last season. Shame there was no Sturridge waiting to finish it off and only Balotelli hanging around the centre spot picking his nose
5. Leading us on to 5, Sturridge is back

And so they should.

He's been piss poor so far. I really want him to succeed but he doesn't seem to have it in him.

He thinks things should be gifted to him, it doesn't work like that, life doesn't work like that. You need to work had and move forward. Take whacks, get back on your feet and go again.

He seems incapable of doing that and no doubt can't take criticism. It's mad because so far he does seem to have eradicated his childish petulance but he needs to do more now otherwise he's not going to succeed in life.

I feel sorry for him, zero service and frankly there have been worse players than him today and over the last few weeks

I am a touch concerned, so many problems and so many players underperforming

Other than Sturridge I see little relief in players coming back

We need players to step up, Sterling, Henderson, Gerrard need to get form back. Markovic, Lovren need to grow a pair. Mario needs to do more

For me of the entire squad only Lallana & Moreno have looked anything like the standard required so far

I thought apart from Enrique we were fine at the back. Skrtel **** for the goal.. and what pin ball,spawn goal it was.

For me, our attack is a bigger issue. Considering how good we were last season attacking.. it's very worrying.
