Moreno was very good for me today, if he'd have had some movement in front of him when he made a couple of direct runs we'd have been in business.

Lallana continues to grow and his goal was fantastic.

Gerrard when he moved forward really added something, kept it easy and looked dangerous, definitely something we should keep in mind I think.

Sterling looks like he's stuttering at the moment but at his age its to be expected.

Balotelli when he came on showed some nice touches, you can see his quality in brief moments but I think he's as desperate for Sturridge to come back as Coutinho is.

I think once sturridge gets back.....forms a partnership with mario.....lallana and henderson get more up to speed this season.....then watch us fly...

For me the defense is a ****in disaster....but if we can get back to scoring 3 or 4 every game then that would go a long way....

I think that's what we're all hanging our hats on.

Given our poor form our start to the season wouldn't have been too bad if we'd have hung on against Everton. Get our act together after this international break and in 5 games time I think we could be ahead of both United and Arsenal after a quick look at the fixture list.

A little better than previous matches but 3 pts were essential to keep up with the top 6.

Int'l break will help Sturridge get more treatment and be ready to smash 'arry and his ****e team.

Really like Moreno & Manquillo so far. They have settled in nicely and look like they will improve even more with a better squad like ours.

I think we have spunked the money we had over the summer. We definately didnt get value and considering the team performances we had last year, then its been a step back. We would have been better off buying 2 or 3 amazing players rather than a load of over priced (exception of moreno who looks a great addition and balotelli....who i think is a calculated risk) squad players. Why do i think that? Because our first 11 needed to replace one superstar, we have a great youth set up providing squad players, and we were a cunts hair away from winning the league last year. We had a team that needed evolution......not revolution...

That said, we should be able to score goals....

Disaster As if we're shipping 5 goals each game. I'd say Man Utd's defence is a disaster, not ours.

We'll always concede the odd stupid goal with the way we play. That won't change as it's symptomatic of the risks we take in playing at a high tempo and committing men forward.

Do you still think that Lallana is the next Stewart Downing who will be with Sam Allardyce in a couple years time though? I know its early days but that's two solid performances from Lallana which is two more than good old Stewie offered in his first few games for us. Plus a goal which Downing took a long time to manage.

Unfortunately it's far more frequent than that though. And our playing style doesn't explain how poor we are at defending corners and set pieces.
