Great result and good to see improved pressing and more energy from Henderson its been sadly missing much of this season
He really can make a difference, him and Lallana can really set our tempo we now need others to follow their example
Still think we should be playing 2 up top in the grand scheme of thingsBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Skrtel must be made up playing alongside Lovren because he makes Skrtel look competentOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostThank **** for that. Not arsed about the performance, just needed any sort of win.
Lovren has to be dropped.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Alonso cost £10.7mOriginally posted by frank the tank View PostHe cost £25m.....that is about 10 to 12m too much for the player he is.....he cost slightly less than fabregas.....more than rakitic........more than blind.......more than Kroos........£20m more than xabi alonso........
I think Lallana is A very good player & will prove to be a fantastic LFC playerWhat do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Yup, you can't compare prices or even them players. Rakitic wanted Barca, Kroos wanted Real, Alonso wanted to go to Guardiola, Fabregas wanted Arsenal, or London and Blind wanted to go to Van Gaal. The connection? They all wanted moves elsewhere (not Liverpool) and massive wages to boot.
But Fierce said it best.

Most of them had wildly different contract statuses, clauses, selling club positions, ages and all sorts of other factors too.Originally posted by Muddled View PostYup, you can't compare prices or even them players. Anyway, anyone with eyes should be able to tell Lallana is a proper footballer, to continue to complain about his purchase is like arguing for everyone to ignore you imo. Markovic and Lovren are the 2 real worries right now and even then to draw conclusions at this stage is foolish, but Moreno and Lallana certainly add something really positive to our squad.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

London connection is overplayed.....of we paid them enough they would go to lfc. Man city have proved that...Originally posted by Muddled View PostYup, you can't compare prices or even them players. Lfc pay massive wages as well. Granted the 200k per week that fabregas is reportedly on is mega - but we paid suarez similar money.

Quoting completely arbitrary player values with no relation to the player under discussion is pretty silly though...Originally posted by frank the tank View PostGood debate.....
Again that's massively reductive, our overall wage bill is nowhere near City/Chelsea, we can't afford those sort of numbers in all but the most exceptional cases. This is complete fantasy football you're playing here Frank, these things are far more complex than you are arguingOriginally posted by frank the tank View PostLondon connection is overplayed.....of we paid them enough they would go to lfc. Markovic would be an okay purchase if we had the luxury of chelseas riches.....someone we could hope fulfils potential. I njst dont think lfc can afford to spend 20m on someone like that when we have other areas of concernOriginally posted by MrMichael View PostMost of them had wildly different contract statuses, clauses, selling club positions, ages and all sorts of other factors too.

We are nowhere near capable of absorbing the wages Manchester City or Chelsea can offer. Offering £200,000 a week to one player means upping Gerrard's wage and other important players who want parity or at least wage increases.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostLondon connection is overplayed.....of we paid them enough they would go to lfc. be careful what you wish for.Originally posted by RedRum View PostPlayers should be dropped if they aren't performing. I'd be tempted to play Sakho and Toure to see how that plays out.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
