That only losing 3 nil to real madrid is a positive.

You think that is a positive ?

No Strikers on the pitch since halftime, 2 sat on the bench. Why pay them?

It's a strange one though isn't it. "Only losing 3-0". Kind of implies that we should, all things being equal, be expecting to lose that game by at least four clear goals. What other games do people have such an extreme expectation? Maybe when a decent national side is facing Andorra or someone. Are we really the Andorra to Madrid's Germany? I'm not convinced it's reasonable to expect the difference to be as stark as that. Expecting you'll probably lose is one thing but deciding that losing buy four goals or more at home is reasonable is a bit extreme.

I actually see that result as a turning point in our season.

People often discuss a win when a team has been on a losing streak as a possible turning point during a season. I actually think that performance and the team we've played against might actually help improve us for the remainder of this season.

The conceding of silly goals will surely come to an end, Rodgers will have no doubt told the team this and in time it will click.

i think we have become a team that needs to score probably 3 goals to win a game of football. The 2014 equivalent of Keegan's Newcastle '97. And i dont think any team has sustained success on the back of not being able to hold a lead..... strikers win games, defenses win leagues...... unless Brendan sorts it out, then we are ****ed. I kinda wish Steve Clarke stayed on as BRs assistant....we'll never know but it could have worked wonders. I reckon Pascoe is as ****in stupid as he looks....

At halftime, like many others, I thought 'Istanbul".

Unfortunately it was more akin to the pub team from the "East Ham Bull".

Coutinho scored that cracker and you never know, it could have happened. Think we'd have run out of legs though. Then there was the Allen strike (which was a save by Casillas) and Markovic should have shot instead of passing (why does he NEVER shoot?).

But then Real could have had a few more, so I'm happy with the result tbh......
                          Forwards.......

                              I have a headache.

That result tonight shows where we're at. I have faith in Rodgers to get things right, but it's going to be painful for a good while yet.
