I'd have gone just as mental there if Mignolet had stayed on his line, he had to come out. Ok, he made a pig's ear of it but he still had to go for it. It's the lack of any kind of understanding between them which is main problem we have. Surely that has to be down to the coaching? Individually they are not that bad.

Doesn't help that we have no patience - as soon as we get the ball we fly up the pitch as soon as we can and when we lose it....

Anyway, going to be a long journey before we're as good as this lot in their pomp, and money that we don't have. It's losing to the likes of Villa that's galling, not so much this.

Win this game & we can win the group..... All options are open as they say. Lose both games & we could still go through. We should have a go. This is Anfield, this is our home. This is not the greatest side of all time. This is not a rubbish LFC side. We're above Spurs, Arsenal, Everton & MUFC in the league. It's just our expectations have rose so high we're ****ed off with the drop in standards.

But for sure, the fans will take them to another level. A level good enough to compete with Real, who for me have a soft midfield and defence.

Really nice effort by Coutinho. He's looking good again. Nice work from Mario for Allen too. Just the usual problems are costing us, and that's because they are massive flaws in our team. It's not looking there are any easy answers, we're stuck with them at least until Jan. But that can only solve the personnel issues, not the wider failings.
