I'd have gone just as mental there if Mignolet had stayed on his line, he had to come out. Ok, he made a pig's ear of it but he still had to go for it. It's the lack of any kind of understanding between them which is main problem we have. Surely that has to be down to the coaching? Individually they are not that bad.

Doesn't help that we have no patience - as soon as we get the ball we fly up the pitch as soon as we can and when we lose it....

Anyway, going to be a long journey before we're as good as this lot in their pomp, and money that we don't have. It's losing to the likes of Villa that's galling, not so much this.

Agreed, he doesn't come for it and watches Skrtel get skinned for pace and be second to the ball, he gets the usual criticism. He realised he couldn't leave it and went for it. Could have had a better stab by spreading himself, but with a man free in the centre there is literally nothing a keeper to do to stop the goal, although they could look a bit more cool in the process.

Reasonable twenty minutes turned to a spineless performance for the rest of the half, defence hand keeper a continuing shambles which Rodgers seems to do absolutely **** all about game after game after game. Utter domination in midfield by Real. Tbh this is what we've seen all season, just they put away their goals unlike some other teams we've played.

Even ignoring this game, some serious questions need to start being asked about our performances, defence and the complete loss of forward play; Suarez or no Suarez.

Disappointing, thought we'd do better than this, though it isnt like they dominated the whole half they are just utterly ruthless and when you have the worst centre back pairing in the competition I guess thats a big problem! Frustrating, hopefully Basel dont get a winner, still think just beating them and Ludogorets gets us through.

****ing Johnson all half caught upfield. Was he not instructed to be restrained tonight? Why no tackles? This is why I hate the champions league, look at last nights results. A load of cheats have turned the game into non contact and you just get walked around like playstation. The crowd went quiet 5 minutes before the first goal. The atmosphere hasn't been great. Where's the singing now? No chance of raising the team.

I was expecting us to play **** and be losing, but **** me this has exceeded my expectations. Same story every game, it's hard to even point out individuals because everyone is having a diabolical game. I know it's still early in the season but I'm finding it difficult that we can turn this around.
