We get the ball. We pass the ball side to side at the back until the striker doesn't wanna chase anymore then we lose it somewhere in midfield. We're playing it safe but when we do lose it at the back they're gonna be through on goal.

I think fans are going to have to wait for our attacking flair to return. We are clearly struggling to integrate new players in to Rodgers' project and I think it's going to take time. As it stands, it looks like Rodgers is keen for us to get numbers behind the ball, not overly commit and be happy to win a game 1-0 instead of 5-3.

There has clearly been a lot of work on our defensive shape when we don't have possession.

It's fair enough not to expect SAS genius, but we need to be offering better than championship standard.
