I think he's gone for the back three and tried to get width, which we've needed tbh. Does expose a rather weak midfield though.

I don't think Johnson has gone higher than the ball so far this game. He's clearly been instructed to hang back which may be the reason Manquillo has dropped to the bench as Johnson is the right sided centre back.

Unfortunately, Johnson seems to be struggling positionally when to go and when to hold.

Yeh I'm wanting rid. Just can't be arsed. You'd think he'd play his arse off for a new contract, but nope. No idea why Rodgers continues with him.

Sterling is our best threat going forward this season. I have an idea, let's play him as a wing back.

You have to wonder whether or not the system that Rodgers wants to play at the moment is too complicated for our players to learn. It certainly isn't coming naturally.

Coutinho is playing way too deep. This has been such a disjointed display so far. Players look lost in whatever formation we are attempting to play.
