Even though he has definitely earned and will get more time; I am losing faith in Rodgson and doubting his capacity to turn it around.

In terms of the players I dont like Joe Allen one iota and would not have him near a starting 11. He isnt strong enough, loses possession in daft areas and is easily bullied. When he does pass, its safe, its side to side or backwards its like watching Ray Wilkins in the 80s

Also Glen Johnson is terrible dallies in possession, knocked off the ball, passes in stupid areas etc..

Those two are complete no-nos for me and thats before we even discuss our central defensive pairing

Not this time. EVERYONE can see Balotelli isnt working as the lone man but he persists, Balo and Gerrard and Lovren are undroppable, its bound to annoy others. Sterling never plays the same position two games in a row either.

Rodgers built his team around Suarez last season. He tried to replicate it and it worked well at Spurs. Unfortunately Sturridge was injured and we didn't have the personnel to continue with the diamond. He introduced a 4-2-3-1 (or variations of it) and the players didn't take to it. This resulted in our experiment today and Rodgers' want to at least be more resolute.

There's been too much change both in personnel and the tweaking of tactics. Rodgers is trying to be reactive, but he's just struggling to get the balance, but when he does, the performances will follow.

Unfortunately, he's not had the opportunity to smash and grab a few points as we continue to gift goals through individual errors. Sure it's frustrating, but Rodgers is trying to make things happen whilst some of the players aren't taking responsibility and aren't performing.

The players are just as much to blame as Rodgers.

Insisting on playing Lovren, Johnson & Balotelli up top on his own has been detrimental. Allen should never be a starter, decent to have on late in the game for a bit of energy but he just gets bullied in the midfield too often. He capitulates vs a pressing, high intensity midfield.

We've lost the spirit and desire we had last season. There is a disjointed & unbalanced look about the system we play and the personnel that is playing in it. Been saying it for weeks now, i don't think Rodgers has any idea what his best team is & what way to set us up.

This is a nonsense on so many levels.

Firstly, we do have the players - Borini, Lambert, and Balo are all adept at playing in a two man attack.

Secondly, if what you say is true, then how the **** has Rodgers let that happen? If he plans to play Sturridge on his own up top then things aren't going to get any better. Sturridge needs a partner to be at his most effective.

                What a **** up.

I would stick Sterling up top alongside Mario, play Coutinho at the tip of the diamond, Henderson and Can infront of Gerrard and stick Manquillo on the right until Flanno is fit

Lallana I would alternate between Coutinho and Can

We should go out and sign a dedicated holding player in January someone like Khedira

agree with this. Essential we get a specialist holding midfielder in January.

They may make up the numbers, but do they complement each other as a strike force? If Rodgers had so much faith in the potential partnerships, he wouldn't be pushing Sterling forward to see if him and Balotelli works.

I think it's fair to assume that Rodgers will experiment with a Sturridge and Balotelli front two. Until that opportunity arises, he's trying to create a support network from midfield for Balotelli. It's just not working.

When he has all his players available, I believe we'll revert to the diamond and two up top, but only when the players that suit that formation are available.

All seems so simple doesn't it?
                        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Going into the season so dependent on an injury prone Sturridge was negligent from the management team.

I wouldn't alternate anyone unless injured. BR should know his best team and his best formation. Play 2 up front with one player (sterling) in a free role behind them......with 3 central midfielders..... We did this for pretty much the whole second half of last season with unbelievable success.....so why ****in change things? It is simple and it is stupid tactics by Brendan.

We have spent 120m and in reality have only added a left back to the first 11.... It is a joke....

                            Lovren for 20m
                            Markovic for 20m
                            Lallana for 25m

Not one of them have improved the first 11....had that 65m been spent properly then we would have been better off. The whole "losing Suarez" argument is totally independent to spending that kind of cash on those 3 players.....

Khedira would have been a good shout in the summer.......as would have Reus (he was injured but if lfc made a big effort then he might have came) but why the **** would he come to lfc now???
