Lallana i don't mind although £25 million was a shocking price. The other two have been a disaster. Knew nothing of Markovic & didn't think Lovren was any improvement on what we had.. i was wrong he much, much worse.

Lallana looks a good buyOriginally posted by frank the tank View PostI wouldn't alternate anyone unless injured. BR should know his best team and his best formation. Play 2 up front with one player (sterling) in a free role behind them......with 3 central midfielders..... We did this for pretty much the whole second half of last season with unbelievable success.....so why ****in change things? It is simple and it is stupid tactics by Brendan.
We have spent 120m and in reality have only added a left back to the first 11.... It is a joke....
Lovren for 20m
Markovic for 20m
Lallana for 25m
Not one of them have improved the first 11....had that 65m been spent properly then we would have been better off. The whole "losing Suarez" argument is totally independent to spending that kind of cash on those 3 players.....
Lovren looks balls
I haven't seen enough of Markovic to form an opinionBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Sure. But only if they ignored the situation and I can't be sure they did. They seemed to try extremely hard to replace Suarez with Sanchez, Benzema and Cavani; Balotelli was our back up plan to our last resort. Perhaps there wasn't enough availalability?Originally posted by captainfog View PostGoing into the season so dependent on an injury prone Sturridge was negligent from the management team.

I agree to a point, I guess we dont have much choice other than playing Gerrard, but I'd like to see Lucas again there. Balotelli offers so little that I'd rather see Borini there, otherwise I agree.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI would stick Sterling up top alongside Mario, play Coutinho at the tip of the diamond, Henderson and Can infront of Gerrard and stick Manquillo on the right until Flanno is fit
Lallana I would alternate between Coutinho and Can
We should go out and sign a dedicated holding player in January someone like Khedira
I also feel he needs to stick to a formation and a team for a while and stop the constant chopping and changing, at least keep it to a minimum and inside a set formation/tactic.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Trying hard isn't good enough for LFC. We knew Suarez would be off this summer and they failed to plan accordingly.Originally posted by Muddled View PostSure. They tried to replace Suarez with Sanchez which seems to indicate to me that the plan was to continue with 2 up topOriginally posted by Muddled View PostSure. This makes what has happened next even more strange
He signs Balotelli who has always worked better alongside a partner and then proceeds to change the system to a lone striker system which doesn't suit Mario OR the rest of the players he has
Really bizarre it looks like he's had a complete brainfartBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I believe we'll revert back to two when Sturridge returns. I think the only reason Rodgers hasn't continued with two up top is because none of our currently fit strikers complement each other enough to form a partnership.Originally posted by Lecter View PostThey tried to replace Suarez with Sanchez which seems to indicate to me that the plan was to continue with 2 up top

How does he know he hasn't tried it?Originally posted by Muddled View PostI believe we'll revert back to two when Sturridge returns. I think the only reason Rodgers hasn't continued with two up top is because none of our currently fit strikers complement each other enough to form a partnership.
One thing is for certain, 1 up top hasn't worked yet he persists with it
