It all feels very Hodgson. I get the logic but it's not for me.
I think it's the opposite of Hodgson, I see it as being proactive and giving us the best chance to win the more important of the two games (Chelsea).
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I can't believe Toure vs Ronaldo gives me more confidence than Lovren against him.

        Rather him than Lovren.

Looks like a 4-2-3-1 if that line up is true.

I think he will have stuck with the 4-3-3 with Lallana in the middle.

Disagree. It's defeatist, which was Hodgson's speciality. It's on Tuesday. We have plenty of time until the Chelsea game.

I can understand Gerrard not playing he needs a rest (and arguably we're better off without him for this one as we need more mobility to close them down) but playing the likes of Markovic and Lambert etc. screams of throwing the towel in.

I thought Rodgers was a winner, but to me this is a loser's approach.

That is a shocking side if true

£90+million of BR's signings, quantity over quality for sure, now would be a good time for those new signings to deliver a performance

I can't work out whether or not you're being serious. It reads like you're being sarcastic, but I don't think so

Playing a £20m player screams of throwing the towel in?!

Does anyone care which of our 4 centre backs play?

Sterling is the only player that you would realistically think would be guaranteed a start against Real Madrid, and as he's already mentioned being tired at some stage, and the result is meaningless; then it is about as un Hodgson as possible. Actually thinking FTW
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

It's horrible reading. Madrid will tear that side apart but sure yeah about ****ing time some of these jokers stepped up.

Already a terrible start tonight with the coverage being ITV.

Personally would hold off on judging Rodgers and the team until we can see an official teamsheet and until we see how we play.

We are massive underdogs tonight so the onus is on Real to perform. What we need to do is bring a level or fight and effort that gives us a chance, no matter how slim, should Real not perform as expected.

Will we do that? Right now none of us know. But, despite my own feeling hat this could be a bad night for us, it is exactly the sort of big night that I had been craving for during our absence from the CL and as such is something to look forward to.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

well stranger things have happened,at most we could sneak a 1-0 win...in reality a 5-6 nil defeat.....

I'm quite intrigued by that team.

Will answer a few debates that we continually have on Est. 2 up top, Gerrard Rested. Lovren rested. Toure has vast experience is a proven winner - good time for him to show it for us.

I suspect Lucas' performace could be key in this team.
