    Televised Liverpool Games

I'm heading to Liverpool for the Newcastle match in April. Does anyone know when sky etc will be announcing the televised matches for that time of year.
I can't book the flights until I know when it will be played.

Not anytime soon. They only released the January games last week and we were only picked once by BT and not at all by Sky so expect us not to show up too often if we are still ****!

Thanks G. A Saturday kick off would suit best but that will mean that we continue to be crap for a while yet!

I took this from another site posted by lads who pay attention to these sorts of things for the same reasons as yourself. Give you an idea.

The most important influences on how matches get picked are what the TV stations decide. These were the relevant dates last year for all the television picks.

11th July for games to end of November
9th October to end of December (but this year will almost certainly include the New Years day games)
4th November to end of January
10th December to end of February
27th January to end of March
27th February to end of April
4th April for fixtures prior to the last weekend of the season.

Are you flying from Ireland? Might give the possibility of flying in the same day.

Manchester Derby that weekend. The police not having a love for rival fans getting drunk in the pub before hand will likely see it as an early kick off. Likely scenario if we are on TV will be 5.45 Saturday or 4pm Sunday. Only guesswork though

Yep, coming from Ireland. That makes sense Chester.

            Thanks lads.

I was sorry to hear Carra's restaurant is gone. We always went there for dinner after the match. My two teenage sons loved it. Are there any similar restaurants in the city?

That I can't help you with. Any time I'm over my diet usually consists of beer and McDonalds

I'm the same when I go with friends!

When I go with the family its a very different experience. Wine and steak instead of burgers and beer.

The FA Cup third-round tie between League Two AFC Wimbledon and Liverpool will be screened live on the BBC.

The match at Kingsmeadow will take place on Monday, 5 January, kick-off 19:55 GMT.
