Yeah I'm not sure what Lovren, Skrtel, Gerrard etc have to do to get dropped. It's understandable why people like Sakho get ****ed off with it. And it looks like it's fit Johnson in at all costs. Got two quality young full backs there who play in a similar way, loads of energy etc yet they hardly ever play together.

Don't we say that for every new manager? This has been going on for 20 years.Originally posted by Zapater View PostHorrendous, absolutely dire. I can't believe the trick that Lovren and Mignolet pulled for their second goal.
I feel sorry for our next manager having to try to shift some of the **** in this squad.
Bodge and Rodgers have just taken us to new lows.

We aren't creating nearly enough chances and if that's the case you are always leaving yourself open to losing the game when we throw so many players forwards. Shockingly, we look light on numbers in the box, light in midfield when teams counter and light on numbers when they're running at our back four. If I didn't know we had 11 v 11 I'd be convinced we had less players on the pitch.
That said, the first Palace goal we did have 10, & Bolasie attacked the space Allen left. But close ranks FFS when you go a man down. Abject. But it's another game where I wonder how we lost. Once again we look like the team on top, but, and this is the key point, without actually looking like we are going to score.
And...... We take Joe Allen off who was the best player on the pitch for us. Coutinho looked dead on his feet at times in that second half when it came to turning round and heading back to goal. Should have got hooked and remained.Forwards.......

Thought Lambert (first half), Allen and Lallana (best player) were good. Sterling offered little. Coutinho tried (but lack of movement around him is stifling his play). Defense was poor - as was Gerrard. Can't blame Mig for today's performance.
Brendan's tactics and subs (taking off Allen and Lallana made a massive difference) were poor. Our midfield (and lack of shape in midfield) is a real concern.
For the first time, I think Brendan is in trouble. A few more league losses (before Christmas) and I think he'll be sacked. Amazing
Another MASSIVE game

It looked at times first half we were playing 2 up top but second half he quickly reverted to 1 up top
People will no doubt think Allen played well but for me he's so neutral. Doesn't win enough possession, isn't physical enough, get shrugged off the ball easily, when he gets possession first thought is play it sideways or backwards
There is little or no pressure on the ball, we don't compete for second balls and defensively we are a shambles.
People talk about Gerrard being done but to me that could also apply to Lovren and Johnson who are anonymous week in week out
You can't afford to carry players and week in week out we carry 3 or 4
I am not convinced he's gonna turn this round. He drops players who should be playing and persists with those who shouldntBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

He was poor tbh, but we didn't exploit him or a poor Palace side nearly enough. He was caught out big time for our goal but tbh we didn't threaten him or the defence nearly enough. Like most sides against us they defended deep and had the front players hassle us at times on and off during the match. It's a clear strategy that works.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostHow did Martin Kelly play today?
We simply can not deal with pressure on the backline. At times Palace had us chasing shadows with just 3 players pressing us at the back. Credit to Gayle who put a real shift in, but truth is we make it really easy.Forwards.......

Carragher has it right we are easily bullied and that is happening all over the pitchBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
