He needs a run of games IMO, but you can see the difference. Also think Gerrard needs a run of games upfront with Lambert.

Are we playing 4-4-1-1 with Sterling and Henderson on the flanks?

Aside from a couple of jittery moments at the back I think we look a little bit better, the shape is coming along as well. Wouldn't mind to see Can in place of Allen but hopefully we can build on this.

Agree with Can, looks a real beast of a player, needs a run in the team.

Thank God Gerrard's playing up front. And he's playing decent, a bit of European pedigree and composure up front which we so badly need. Its also helping the ball behind him is turning over quicker with Lucas, Allen, etc.

Allen for Can and Lallana for Gerrard would be ideal to kill them off.

at 44 minutes the ball comes to lambert in the centre, about 35yds out. he plays in to the right wing, about 5yds in front of hendo for him to run on to, but hendo is just standing still.

this shows that lambert has a brain to bring others into the game, he will then be moving into the area to get on the end of the cross. it also shows that other players need to be a bit more tuned in.

cant knock hendo for his run/goal though. great that. the ball from sterling, class.
