    QPR, West Ham and Everton?

The latter being the only one that cost us points if there are no more.

Very few positives tonight, avoided another defeat, still in CL, Lambert, Sterling and Lucas played well.

Big cock up by Rodgers not getting another keeper cos Mignolet is just awful and we have to make do til January which could be extremely costly.

Still, I back us to beat Basel and progress but lucky after 4 points from 5 games that we still have that chance. Ridiculous really.

Have to say I expected this sort of performance from him, he's just not the player he was and he's hit & miss. Epitomised our game in that he looked solid, but makes simple mistakes.

First goal, he does a ridiculously bad clearance that gives them a free shot. Second, he's marking the damn player that scores - but who do the muppets blame? Johnson despite him being the only one who stayed alive at the back post. Toure sleeping. I don't know what the answer is at the back, but it isn't Toure.

But aside from individual mistakes, the team as a whole did look compact with Lucas & Allen in the middle. As Gary Neville said in the analysis, it was a small step. I don't rate Ludogorets, but fact is they gave Real a tough game, us two difficult games and beat Basel so they aren't a pushover.

As for Brendan, his early formation worked well but when Ludo figured it out and got on top, he was savvy enough to change and get the upper hand. I know it was a tense finish. But tell me, aside from the two goals, did Migs have ANYTHING to do? No. We set up to avoid getting beat and we achieved it.

I wasn't happy. But it's better and we have the outcome we wanted.
Very harsh criticising Toure for the first.

Personally I had Lucas at fault for the build up for the first their player ran a long way through our midfield without a challenge. Mignolet then dropped the ball as though it was a sloppy ****

One thing I do like about Toure is him encouraging the players to push out and also bollocking the midfield when once again they failed to compete for second balls

Now the dust has settled, can we all just take a moment and reflect on Toure's attempted header in the centre circle. That has to be up there with Sissoko and his vertical air kick.

Twice against Ludogorets, did we concede late on against Boro

Last kick of extra time. It's certainly an area of concern.

Harsh but fair. I loved his random back header as well when he misjudged the flight of the ball, could have gone anywhere. But yes, I do agree on that, at least he's a bit of a leader.

Sterling was in pain according to Rodgers. For everyone who is calling for Moreno to start, tonight was another example of a goal due to him completely ball watching. He is young and will learn but that's several this season. Which is probably why Johnson and Manquillo start.

Thought Lambert, Sterling, Lucas, Toure, Gerrard were good. Henderson was useless, nice finish but nothing else. Allen invisible. Skrtel out of position and getting caught out by simple balls over the top. Mignolet, well, nothing to be said there.

I should have put the only thing that worried me from todays game but yes if we cant hurt the opposition they will commit more men further forward and eventually we will gift them goals. All were doing is inviting pressure on ourselves and most of the teams in the champions league are more than capable of hurting us even the **** ones.

But today we looked generally more solid than I have seen us for a long time yet we still managed to concede 2 goals. But there were parts to our game that looked much better than before.

We cant go from playing terrible to winning champions league games away from home in one swoop. If this is the first step back on the road to some sort of recovery then I welcome it and hope the next game is yet another step towards rehabilitating this team.

Its not going to turn around overnight but at least now we have something to build on but if Lucas and toure are dropped again for stoke it will feel like another step back.

Not really as his performance was hardly a dominant game winning type. But I do think he did his part in a solid performance, something you alluded to that he wasn't capable of as he's too easily brushed of the ball. But European games are different to English league games which is probably what you had issue with.

You wish toure was 30 years old not the 51 he is.

He is a leader and he is an organiser. He talks people through games and that's what carragher brought to this team. Its something we have missed terribly but toure deserves to stay in the team.

The best thing Rodgers can do is drop Mignolet. His confidence is shot and i would rather see Brad Jones given a go. He cant do much worse.

Lucas was far more to blame for the first than Toure

Yeah he made a few mistakes but I think he was spot on in bollocking Lucas and Allen over competing for second balls they were absolutely dreadful in this department

I still have massive issues with that midfield

The failure to compete for second balls is criminal

Although on the plus side Lucas pressed much higher than we have been
