Kolo and Lucas have to be the first names on the team sheet week in week out now.

Lucas and Kolo have played well this season. Kolo has good leadership qualities and Lucas is a natural DM (who reads the game very well). Kolo (and Lucas) should stay in the team and Sakho should get game time, from the bench, until match fit. I hope BR is not thinking of selling Lucas in January!!

Good win but disappointed Lallana and Can didn't play in place of Coutinho and Allen.

We were much better in the second half even though Stoke had 2 or 3 good chances

Why didn't we approach all of the game like we did second half, high tempo, high pressing and slick movement and passing. Its as good a display we've had since the Spurs game. Hopefully they take confidence from it and can produce more of the same.

Awful stuff at times. Real painful to watch, especially the first half, but we'd take a few results like that in the end.

Wank again for most of the game. Got lucky and won, as was inevitable at some point, but a mile off the performance level we need to be at.

The trio of lucas, skrtel and kolo looked so much better. We never looked in trouble until Gerrard and lovren came came on. Lallana surely has to be in for Coutinho who has been way off his best. Agree that Can in for Allen would give us much more in the middle.

Sterling had been much better in the second half, hendo had some good spells in second half but lambert was fantastic again. Great to see Johnson put himself on the line was good goal but he was shocking today.

Really hope Rodgers doesn't revert to type and bring the usual suspects back into the starting 11. A win is a win but it was a poxy game against a **** side.

First half was a slugfest. Thought we were much better second half. Pressing was there from Henderson and Allen. Lucas shielded the back four very well. And we finally saw some intricate play around the box which led to chances. Sterling, Lucas, Allen, Lambert all should have probably scored. It was much better.

Rodgers still getting criticism on ****ter of course, he can do no right with some. Has dropped Gerrard and Lovren. Lucas was quite clearly out on his feet to anyone who was actually watching, he brings on Gerrard to support Lambert and puts Allen back in Lucas' place, but some fans still have a pop. Fine if you don't want Gerrard DM, but don't complain if he's on playing behind the striker. Credit too must go to Mignolet and Johnson, who played well today. They've taken some stick. Now is the time to support the team and the players. Onwards and upwards.

Don't think we were wank second half at all. Bojan was a handful but is for anyone. We created a lot of chances second half and pressed much higher. There were definite signs of improvement. Are you really expecting the team to suddenly revert to the play of last season in one game? Signs of Coutinho and Sterling starting to link up were clear today.

Stoke are far from ****. They are always tough to beat. Thought Coutinho was very good and his link up with Sterling is showing promise again. Allen and Henderson were vital today pressing Stoke at every opportunity. Johnson was actually good in the second half, made a couple of decent stops and pressed them on the right flank. Brilliant for the goal.
