We've got plenty of problems but games like this are always solved by that bit of class upfront getting you a goal, we just dont have it with Sturridge out, we desperately need to do something in January but if we **** up the next two league games it'll be way too late anyway.

Think we'll scrape past Basel with a pumped up crowd etc but dreading next weekend, Utd are woeful aswell but I just dont see how we'll score many or keep em out there.

But let's be honest, since being thrashed 8-0, Sunderland have been solid at the back. They've conceded 12 goals in two games & 11 in the other 12 games this season. Not exactly pushovers & when we're struggling to score goals it was always going to be a drab affair whilst waiting for a break through.

Whilst it wasn't unexpected, it's still a kick in the teeth since we have MUFC away followed by Arsenal at home. Two very difficult games and we really needed this to give us some breathing space going into those games.
