Well after watching Sunderland this season I don't think he would have been surprised by them. If he was, I'd be signing up for the Rodgers out fan club.

Whoever decided to sign Lambert and Balotteli instead of Remy gets fired today. Then we can draw a line and move on.

too many of our players looked decent in a team with suarez and sturridge ripping it all apart. their averageness stands out without the shine of world class players around them.

sterling is putting in the effort but all the other players are standing still waiting for the ball. they are well marked by a disciplined defence and we are never going to get anything unless a mistake or peno gets awarded.

lucas was decent, gerrard looked good when he came on. he gave the ball away but chased back like his life depended on it and won the ball cleanly in our goal area.

too many passengers on the rodgers tour bus. when is he moving to his next club.
didnt he say something about him being happy here for now. suntan, teeth, a new bird and the performance last season has given him a false sense of his own importance.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We don't get the rub of the green with the refs. I've noticed that all season.

It is amazing when you think how much a difference a top level striker makes to a team.

What's really pissing me off is us not getting to see Balotelli up top with Sturridge, who were fantastic in their one game together against Spurs.

What's most piss isn't me off is seeing the impact Sanchez has had at Arsenal, and wondering why after not getting him, we weren't signing someone of a similar level. If we had of done, we'd be in the top 4 atm, I have no doubt about that.

Ref wasn't great today but we need more movement and craft in the final 3rd; good to see we look somewhat better at the back these past few games but with only Lambert to call on up top we just don't look likely to score many at the moment.

You have to contemplate the tools we have. Lamppost is a disaster up front. Rarely have I seen anyone that static.

                      Consider the positives:
The defense looks solid again. That will bring the foundation we need to build on. Skertel, kalo and Lucas were all ace today.

Sterling is a gift and once Sturridge returns he will blossom.

Gerrard looks great at the 70 min mark. What a game he brought today!

I think there is every reason to park the knee jerk and enjoy Xmas. We are getting there ffs

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

No problems with them not signing Remy if he failed a medical. More annoyed at lack of back up options.

Shame we couldn't have pushed the boat out for Balotelli & one other. I imagine if Borini had gone we may have got Eto'o as well, who would have been okay.

Thought we were good in the first 2/3 of the pitch which is miles better than we were a couple of weeks backs. It's small steps but it's clearly improvement.

                              Positives
                              Clean sheet
Defence looks solid (Toure and Lucas make a big difference)
                              Lucas was very good (again)
Moreno was good (especially in second half)
Gerrard looks a different player in an advanced role

                              Negatives
