Very poor performance. Lovren is a liability (defence seems to have no confidence or leadership when he plays). No shape in midfield. Absolutely no movement up front (hard to criticise Lambert - he works hard but is not the right striker for us). Brendan is having a nightmare (again - no striker on the bench).

Basel have pressed us really well. They haven't allowed us to find any rhythm or momentum and they break really well using the space behind our full backs. That doesn't really excuse what has been a dour performance so far, but a team low on confidence can't weigh the right ball and wrong decisions are being made.

Get Allen off, put Lallana on and push him alongside Lambert and see if we can actually show some desire.

That was horrific. Ghashi is embarrasing Glen and Skrtel everytime with a simple run, Ludogorets did that about 15 times to Skrtel and he fell for it every time. Woeful. Enrique has been a disgrace, midfield woeful and Lambo is knackered after being run in to the ground in recent weeks. I'd get all of Lallana, Coutinho and Markovic on now. Can still do it somehow.
