Kolo Toure has been ruled out of this evening’s clash with FC Basel due to a groin injury #LFC

Bad news about Toure, him and Skrtel were developing a good partnership. We best hope Lambert doesn't get injured as we have no others forwards in the squad. Zero width in the 11, setup to stifle.

No strikers in the team or on the bench

The owners must look at that bench and wonder why we spent so much just so we could start tonight with 7 players who were already at the club before Rodgers arrived.

Would have Sakho in over Lovern, Lallana over Allen, Moreno over Enrique, and Can over Henderson.

Hope I am wrong but have a horrible feeling that Rodgers may go 4-3-3 with the starting XI and have Henderson playing on the opposite flank to Sterling .
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

In that team surely Henderson will be lumbered out wide which is his worst position. It's a midfield setup to stifle. Won't be expected a cracker of a game or anything, might grind out a result but zero width in that side might be a problem.

That 11 looks **** and nothing much on the bench. Even if we will it'll be awful to watch.

I think the treatment of Borini is piss poor imo. Yes, he may not be everyone's cup of tea but at least have your only other fit striker on the bench especially in a must win game like this ffs

Looks like he's been Brendoned because he turned down moves to Sunderland and QPR in the summer

My fragile confidence has taken a mortal blow with that line-up. Not even a draw. Can we end up last and avoid the Europa league?

It's a solid, workmanlike midfield but where are the goals going to come from? So narrow and slow that team is. You'd swear Basel were Madrid with that line up. Anyways... come on !!!

Not surprised. He's been badly mismanaged imo

Can't see us scoring in the first half. Will need to hope Lallana and Coutinho come on at half time and save us. So surprised they aren't starting, don't understand that. Certainly not going for a fast start today

Only if Ludo get a result in Madrid. We are better head to head.
