Fair enough but is this the game to do it in? who's better Jones or Mignolet?Originally posted by Muddled View PostTo give Mignolet a kick up at the arse and state that he is not our number one, regardless of form."That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Not the team I'd have picked. But happy Rodgers isn't sticking with a broken team.
And a line up with mobility is a step in the right direction. United lack pace in their side, matching them like for like when we have inferior players in attack would be suicide. Sitting back would be the same. I'm delighted he's rolled the dice, less so with certain players starting. But I'm happy to see he's back to having a go - in theory at least.Forwards.......

When Mignolet was making error after error he kept getting picked. When he has gone two games without he gets dropped and needs time out the spotlight. I find that ridiculous really. No one can defend the timing of it at allOriginally posted by Muddled View PostTo give Mignolet a kick up at the arse and state that he is not our number one, regardless of form.

Away from home, in a huge game with a team in decent form.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostWhen his form has picked up. Genius.
Mignolet. Rodgers is right to bomb out Mignolet, just not today.Originally posted by jono View PostFair enough but is this the game to do it in? who's better Jones or Mignolet?

Nope. I can only think we have been working with Jones over the last couple of weeks in training to build him up for today. That's me clutching at straws.Originally posted by Sarb View PostWhen Mignolet was making error after error he kept getting picked. We went out the Champions League. I expect a response. How's that for timing?Originally posted by Sarb View PostWhen Mignolet was making error after error he kept getting picked. Mignolet didn't make a glaring error that led to a goal. But what about the countless times he fails to release it, slows the play, either due to lack of bottle or lack of ability. Either way, he can have no complaints.Forwards.......

Although let's not get carried away; Mignolet is not playing well, he's had a run of form with protection from Lucas and a team set up to defend.Originally posted by Sarb View Post
Dont get his new strategy of dropping players when they play well
He's had an awful season and should be dropped ... just not today.
